I’m usually pretty good for advice, and I don’t charge. If members need audio development or production or any type of networking situation. I’m also a pretty good spot writer and not-half bad voice actor. You can find spots I’ve written as well as some I’ve voiced sprinkled throughout my blogs and this sites audio player.

400 Hours to find an Available site name

I have now spent more time this year trying to find some clever, unique name for a new website than I have eating, sleeping or on personal hygiene. Okay, maybe not more time than eating.

So I found myself typing what I thought might be unusual combinations of characters to come up with something cool, albeit non-descriptive for a new site I am going to launch (perhaps posthumously). It seemed as though trying to combine any 2 words from the dictionary to make a new word and then use that as the… Continue

Directing an Author Reading His Audio Book

I have in my day both voiced and directed audio books. As a director I have usually worked with trained talent. That is to say, individuals who have some degre of experience perfroming voiceover and/or have had some acting training.

There seems to be a trend these days to have the authors read the books themselves whenever possible. So a few weeks ago I was introduced to Mr. Bill Tancer and his book called Click. Bill Tancer is the general manager of global research at Hitwise and a weekly colu… Continue

It’s Not Easy Being Green

Well, I think Kermit the Frog was the first to sing the sentiments of it not being easy being green. For now and some time to come I am afraid that all the other colors of the rainbow will simply have to take a backstage. Mauve and Fuschia will have no place in our society. It’s green, green, green.

One of the big reasons is because it’s “safe”. Just as all of our country’s politicians realized that once they couldn’t take money from Tobacco lobbyists anymore for 30 years 90% of all legislation… Continue

WOW – I haven’t blogged since Christmas. It’s almost like I’ve been in a coma.

SO, it’s now mid-April. Actually iut’s April 15th and for once I filed my taxes early which means I can act really smug when I watch all the people on t.v. tonight on th 11 O’clock news waiting in line to send their returns. What I really want to do is go to the post office at around 5 or 10 minutes after midnight just to see who shows up and point at them and laugh.

I usually sit down and blog with something in mind, but right now if I shined a flashlight into my right ear, the light would com… Continue

Tis the Season to Realize I’m a Year Older

Dear Diary or whatever. Well looks like things with me and the Create Magazine folks are cool and groovy. I’m on the Advisory Board for another year and will even have my own monthly rants and raves column on their website. (More on that to come)

So I checked out the November issue of Create and looks like some ofthe judges agreed with some of my picks but not with some of my other picks. But then again, I’m still a little foggy over exac

Hey J.S. Unfortunately, I don’t need a copywriter any longer. But did see your post about Miami ad school. Thinking of going back to school and would love some advice … account planning only, please. I wouldn’t be asking for copywriting help if I felt I had “it.”

Hope all is well.

P.S. Which SUNY did you go to?? Jerry Condra, at Oswego, who seems nice, is a great writer and probably teacher as well.

Hey, J:

Besides doing shorter voice skits, you might want to take the GG into ultra controversial topics. Like a more radical version of Perez Hilton. Something so shocking and funny that people just have to listen.

Sorry for the late reply, dear Gilbert. So glad to know that you are giving yourself different tries, that is a good thing. After all the life is so short.

As for myself, I do have great passion and zeal and have strong belief that I have the power to change who I am. But the problem is I cant see the blueprint, only roughly know where I will be, I am not aware what is wrong.

Sometimes, I told myself that I dont work hard and smart enough.

J.S. glad to connect with you here. Keep me in mind if you have any content you want to put on Hot Pluto–I am more interested in building up the advertiser portion of the site rather than making money right now so i’ll upgrade your account at no cost.
